Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: My surname is Zaarour and my ancestry is from North Lebanon. There are numerous Zaarour's living in Sydney Australia of Lebanese heritage. The mix is approx half Christian & half Muslim. The first Zaarour from my extended family came to Sydney in the mid 1950's. Known Zaarour families originate from Bkar'kafrah, Hasroun (Kadisha Valley/Mountians), Jbeil (Byblos) and Bsarma (Koura).
