Someone in my family is Chinese, but we're not sure how far behind it is? Help?

This is on my dad's side of the family. My grandfather looked completely Chinese and so does my Aunt. My dad looks a bit Asian too. My dad's children looks part Asian as well (people think that I'm Hawaiian or Filipino). My dad's grandchildren look Chinese too. So, if we all sort of look Asian, does that mean that the person that was Chinese in my family is not that far from the family tree? People are always telling me that I have Asian features.
