I'm helping a friend locate his birthfamily, so I thought I'd try putting this out there. He was born with the last name Cook in December 1962 in Nevada, Iowa. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you ever heard of Genweb? It is a genealogy site that list states and counties and has web pages for each county. You could post as much info on the county web page for Nevada, Iowa. search for U.S. Genweb Project on the net and locate the county of Nevada. I've seen similar posts on people trying to locate their birth parents.
