Does anyone know if thres a FREE online site that you can go to and look at death records of anyone in the US that happened some what recently

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You can try the Social Security Death Index. It is an index and only tells the date of birth and death, SSN, and where it was issued, but the basic information is usually helpful enough to get you on the right track of ordering a death certificate. There are no causes of death or burial information on this index. One word of caution. The locations listed under "Last Residence" isn't necessarily where the person died. Here is the link:
