Does anyone know Herbert Campbell aka Major born 1898 in Liverpool?

I have been doing my family tree and it would appear that my great grandparents Fred and Lucy Ellen Campbell (nee Ravenscroft) left Liverpool with thier children Violet and Herbert aka Major among others for the USA, but left my grandmorther Lucy Ellen Campbell born April 1893 here in the UK. I have now got stuck with the USA side. I know this as Herbert (major) moved to the Isle of Weight and traced my grandmother in the 1970's to tell her this. Can anyone help please.
