Jheed Name Origin?

Where does the last name 'Jheed' come from? and its background history? I am actually not sure if thats how you spell it but thats the closest I can get in how it would be pronounced.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: My educated guess would be Indian (from India). I am basing this on checking the surname JHEED on ancestry.com and noticing that several people with that surname were born in London not all that long ago. One of those people had a mother with a maiden name that would be Indian.

Of course, this is based on only one circumstance, but if the father and mother in the case I saw are of the same origin than I would look at India with regard to the origin of the JHEED surname.
