Position:Home>Genealogy> I look more like my grandfather than my parents??

Question:

I look more like my grandfather than my parents??

Is this odd? I don't really take after my parents very much, but I'm like the spitting image of my grandfather. Does it skip a generation?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Looks can skip several generations. I once worked with a girl whose family was Italian. They all looked Italian with the exception of her brother, who was red-haired with fair skin. I asked about him and she said that way back in their family tree, someone married a red-headed Irish lad and her brother was the splitting image of him. There is no rhyme or reason to the gene pool!
