Can anyone help me regarding information concerning the family of Emmet Eugene Crittenden?

He was a farmer in the Vealmoore and Luther areas. He died on August 9, 1982. He was married to Lottie Lee "Williams". He was a veteran. He was known as "Gene" Crittenden. He had a daughter named Charlsa Jean. He and Lottie helped raise her four daughters. He lived in a trailer house next to the old cafe in Ackerly. He has/had several brothers and sisters: (to name just a few) Morris, Donald Wayne, Alma, James & George (were the twins I believe)...

According to the 1930 census, Eugene is listed with his family in Howard County, Texas. He was the son of E. C. Crittenden who was 40 years old at the time of the census (making him born in 1890) He was born in Alabama and was a farmer. His wife's name is Molly Lee born about 1895 in Texas.
They are listed with the following children:
Charlene 16 Born in texas
Eugene E 15 Born in Texas
Unice Elen 9 Born in Texas (probably spelled Eunice)
Morris Leo 6 born in texas
Josephine Inez 4 Born in texas
James Clinton 2 born in texas
George Benton 2 Born in texas
Donald Wayne 1 Born in texas

Living next door to them was Curtis Crittenden. He was 18 with his wife of one year Nadine. His father was born in Alabama and mother in Texas making it entirely likely that he was a brother to Emmet Eugene.

I found the birth records of George Benton Crittenden and Donald Wayne Crittenden and it lists his parents as E C Crittenden and Mollie Lee Byron. (So, now you have her maiden name.)

I found a death record for Mollie Crittenden in Martin County, which borders Dawson county. According to the death index it says that she was divorced.

I have to wonder if E. C. was also named Emmitt. I found a death record in Howard county, Texas as follows:

I do believe it is him because I cross referenced it with the Social Security Death index and see that his birthdate was consistant with the census.

So now it looks as if you have the parents of Emmet Eugene Crittenden along with their birth and death dates. From here, i would order their death certificates. These certificates would likely list the names of their parents and thus take you back one more generation.
