I need help with this surname from Ireland.?

I'm over 80% Irish but part of that Irish blood is a little Danish. I know they came to Ireland from Denmark no sooner than a century ago. They were given the Surname Crine but I know it was abbreviated from something else. Does anyone know what it could have possibly been. Also does anyone know where I can find out.
