Question: I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on how canvas pointe shoes compare to satin!.!?

I've just been soo interested in canvas pointe shoes (i mean they're BEAUTIFUL, ha, they would be somewhat unique in classes, and they just seem to be such an elusive topic online outside of catalogues) ^_^ aaaall answers GREEATLY appreciated!Www@QuestionHome@Com

OMG! THEY MAKE CANVAS POINTE SHOES!?!!?!!?!!?!!?!!? I didn't even know that! haha one sec let me look it up!!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Well for me at least!. it seems that the canvas pointe shoe bunches up a bit more than per say the satin, so i like the look of the satin more, but you would think that the canvas would be much more durable then the satin!.!.!. I've only had mine for about a month a the satin is already fraying on the top of the box! But really i don't see much of a difference in the two shoes!. except for the fabric!.and the price! nobody would notice the difference of the shoe on stage anyways!. So i say, if you want to be different then GO FOR IT!!! haha and maybe talk to your dance teacher about them too!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have used Sansha canvas pointe shoes!. They look great on stage because they give a nude look to your foot, especially if you use canvas "ribbons" or sew your satin ribbons wrong side up!. However, I wasn't crazy about the pointe shoe itself even though the fit and feel are the same as satin shoes!. I am not aware of any other brand of canvas pointe shoe, but I guess there might be others out there!.
By the way, I found no difference in the wear in regards to how long my shoes lasted!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i didnt know they made those!!!! i think satin would be prettier but canvas more durable, so it depends on what you want! maybe get both!? :) one for class, one for performance! oooh now i want some!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
