Question:

Question for those in England... Preferrably close to either ....?

Brenchley, Kent, England or East Greenwich, Kent, England.

I am wondering if there is a genealogy group or individuals in these areas that perform "Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness" for fellow genealogists. I see that there are two listed on the RAOK site here in the US for all of England/Wales but they don't ofer the sevice that I am interested in.

I would like to see if there is anyone willing to take digital pictures of tombstones which could be sent through email.

I realize that the images of tombstones I am interested in may not be attainable but I am just wondering if there is anyone that you British folks knows of that may be willing to try?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me with this...

RAOGK stand for "Random Acts Of Genealogical Kindness"

I apologize, I left out the "G".

The website is at:

http://www.raogk.org/

It is a great organization of people. The UK has some volunteers. To get to a list of the volunteers you have to first read their Frequently Asked Questions under the section Looking For A Volunteer?

I was one of the volunteers for a period of time before I moved to an area that I have no real knowledge of (genealogically speaking). Each volunteer has a special "service" that they offer. They really are a great group of people.

I too have some of my family members listed on the Find A Grave Website. I also have a website that I have been building for a number of years where I keep all kinds of pictures of tombstones. In fact, I have more to add. If you want to take a peek.. feel free..

Thanks for the help itsjustme... maybe I'll see your name on the list at RAOGK.

Just to add... I would love to add a section about Kent, England (if I could do it with the proper honor it deserves) to my website. It is where my ancestors came from. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them. :)
